Dengue: 288 cases reported in 24 hrs, 261 in Barisal

A total of 288 new dengue cases were reported across the country in 24 hours till Wednesday morning (June 11), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of them, Barishal Division reported the highest number of new infections, with 261 fresh cases. However, no deaths have been reported during this period.
According to DGHS, “During the period, 261patients were hospitalised in Barishal, 11 in Chattogram, one in Dhaka division, 12 in Dhaka south, one in Rajshahi and two were admitted to different hospitals in Mymensingh.”
The total number of case rose to 5,303 while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.
