UN team on enforced disappearance arrived in Dhaka

A two-member delegation of the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances has begun a four-day visit to Bangladesh.
This is the first visit to Bangladesh by any member of the organization.
The two-member delegation, Grażyna Baranowska and Ana Lorena arrived Dhaka yesterday (June 15).
During their visit to Dhaka, they are scheduled to meet with Legal Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul, Acting Foreign Secretary Ruhul Alam Siddiqui, members of the Disappearance Commission, law enforcement agencies, and families of the victims of disappearances.
After completing all the formalities, two members of the Working Group on Disappearances will leave Dhaka on June 18.
