Barrister Taposh’s close aide Khorshed arrested 

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested another associate of former Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh from the capital's Sukrabad area in the early hours of Tuesday for his suspected link to firing gunshots at the rally of an anti-discrimination movement.

The detainee has been identified as Md. Khorshed Alam.

A CID team arrested Khorshed at 12:05am from the Sukrabad area under Dhanmondi Police Station.

He is an accused in a murder case for his alleged involvement in shooting at an anti-discrimination student movement rally in Jigatola area on August 5 last, in which an agitator named Abdullah Siddique was killed. 

A murder case with Dhanmondi Police Station in this connection was registered on September 19 last.

The CID in its investigation found that Khorshed Alam was present at the scene and led the attack.
