Former state minister Shamsul Alam arrested

The Detective Branch of police arrested former State Minister for Planning Ministry Dr. Shamsul Alam from the capital's Mohammadpur area on Thursday (June 19).

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said Shamsul Alam has been arrested from Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

However, it is not known in which case he was arrested.

The former state minister was accused in multiple cases linked to the July mass uprising.
