248 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24hrs

A total of 288 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours till Thursday morning.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued a press release in this regard on Thursday.

“During the period, 104 were hospitalised in Barishal, 39 in Chattogram, 18 in Dhaka division, 20 in Dhaka North, 35 in Dhaka South, seven in Khulna, four in Mymensingh, 18 in Rajshahi and three were admitted to different hospitals in Rangpur,” the press release said. 

The total number of case rose to 6,926, while 30 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

A total of 6,103 persons were released from hospitals till now.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
