Nobel ties knot with plaintiff woman at prison

Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has tied the knot with a former student of Eden Women's College and also the complainant of a rape case against him.

With the permission of the court, their wedding ceremony was completed at Keraniganj Central Jail under the supervision of the prison authorities on Thursday (June 19).

Jahangir Kabir, deputy inspector general of prisons for the Dhaka Division, confirmed the matter on Friday (June 20).

He said their marriage was completed on Thursday afternoon. The matter will be reported to the court.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Dhaka court asked the jail authorities to take necessary steps to arrange marriage of the singer with that woman who filed a rape case against him.
