NCP submits application seeking registration with EC

National Citizen Party (NCP) applied for registration with the Election Commission (EC) on Sunday (June 22).

The party led by Akhtar, Hasnat and Sarjis Alam submitted their application this afternoon. Today was the last day to apply for new party registration.

Earlier today, several parties, including the Janatar Dal, Janatar Party, and National Democratic Party, applied to the Election Commission for registration.

Janatar Dal Chairman Brigadier General (retd) Shamim Kamal said that their party wants to do new style politics. An application has been made to the EC seeking the ‘key symbol’.

Earlier on June 1, the formation of NCP committees at the district and upazila levels began with the formation of a coordination committee in Dhaka Metropolitan North.
