Three more die from COVID-19 

At least three people died from Covid-19 in the 24 hours before 8:00am on Monday.

The Health Department confirmed three deaths and 19 new COVID-19 infections in the country over the 24-hour period from 8am Sunday to 8am Monday. 

According to a statement of the Directorate General of Health 

Services (DGHS), a total of 406 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of 4.68 percent.

The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 stands at 29,518.

The first case of Coronavirus was detected in the country on March 8, 2020. 

Ten days later, on March 18 of the same year, the first person died from the virus in the country.
