Adviser Asif Mahmud must apologize: Ishraque 

BNP leader Ishraque Hossain has claimed that Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan must apologize to the city residents for his objectionable comments regarding the spontaneous movement of voters of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

The BNP leader said this at a press conference organized at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club on Wednesday (June 25).

Ishraque said, “In an interview given to a private television channel, Asif Mahmud said that the Ishraque’s movement was fueled by a BNP leader. Through this statement, thousands of Dhaka voters have been extremely insulted. This population of Dhaka, who have been protesting day after day with physical and mental effort, ignoring storms, rain, and intense sun, has been underestimated. For this, he must apologize to the citizens.”

Ishraque said, “Asif has said that Ishraque was ‘misguided’. Through this statement, he has shown himself superior to others and has humiliated me extremely. I strongly condemn and protest against this insult. I demand that he must apologize for this extremely insulting statement.”
