Complete NBR shutdown program will continue Sunday

The protesting staff and officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) started a complete shutdown program from Saturday (June 28) to press home their demands including removal of the NBR chairman.

The shutdown and March to NBR program will continue on Sunday (June 29). NBR Reform Oikya Parishad President Hasan Muhammad Tareq Rikabdar announced this at a press conference on Saturday.

He said, “Revenue reform is not possible in light of the government's release of May 25 with the current chairman of the NBR in charge.

He is clearly acting as a proxy to implement the agenda of a special group allied with fascism.”
