Abu Sayed murder: Formal complaint filed with ICT

A formal complaint has been filed with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in a case over the murder of Begum Rokeya University student Abu Sayed during the July Uprising.
Prosecutor Gazi M.H. Tamim told reporters that the formal charge in the Abu Sayeed murder case was submitted to Tribunal-2 on Monday (June 30).
The three-member judicial panel of International Crimes Tribunal-2 headed by Justice Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury is scheduled to start hearing in the case.
The other members of the tribunal are - Retired district and sessions judge Md Manjurul Bashid and Madaripur district and sessions judge Nur Mohammad Shahriar Kabir.
Earlier on June 24, the investigation agency of the tribunal submitted the investigation report on the Abu Sayed murder case to the chief prosecutor's office.
The report named 30 individuals as accused in the case, including former proctor of Begum Rokeya University Shariful Islam.
