Revenue collection exceeds Tk 360,000 crore 

Today (June 30) is the last day of the current 2024-2025 fiscal year. Till 10 am on Monday (June 30), the National Board of Revenue (NBR) collected Tk 360,000,922 crore as revenue. 

Talking to the newsmen, NBR Chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan gave this information. 

He said, “Tk 360,000,922 crore were collected till 10 am today. We will get the report of what will be deposited today in the treasury tomorrow. Apart from this, there are tax or VAT bills of government projects, which are collected; it will take some time to reconcile that.”

He also said, "Normally, the June closing takes a little time. It will take two to three weeks to get the final figure. All offices are open today, banks are open. I think a good amount of money will be deposited today. If the government bills are adjusted, it is certain that it will be more than last time." 

The National Board of Revenue was given a target of 4 lakh 80 thousand crore taka for the current fiscal year. However, it is known that the target was reduced to 4 lakh 63 thousand 500 crore taka in the middle of the fiscal year.
