Attack on women at Banani hotel: Two assailants identified

Two suspected attackers who assaulted two women at Zakaria Hotel in Banani in the capital, have been identified.

Banani police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Rasel Sarwar on Friday morning (July 4) said the attack was led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s Duba Dal leader Monir. The attackers have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest them.

Earlier on Wednesday night (July 2), a group of people led by Banani Jubo Dal convener Monir Hossain attacked the two women. Later, a video of the incident has gone viral on social media platform Facebook.

The hotel authorities filed a case against the accused individuals on the night of the incident.
