Directive to address female officers as ‘Sir’ cancelled

The interim government has scrapped the directive that required female government officials to be addressed as ‘Sir’.
The decision was taken at the council’s 33rd meeting held in the capital on Thursday (July 10).
Following the matter, a two-member committee has been formed to review other protocol-directives issued by the previous cabinet.
The committee members are - Energy, Road and Railway Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan and Environment and Water Resources Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
