Bomb scare at Shahjalal, Dhaka-Kathmandu flight temporarily suspended

The Dhaka-Kathmandu route flight BG-373 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been temporarily suspended at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport due to security concerns.
The flight was scheduled to depart Dhaka at 4:45 pm on Friday (July 11).
It is learned that before the flight took off, a call was received from an unknown number informing that there was a bomb on the plane.
After that, the airport's security system was put on high alert.
Law enforcement agencies started a search operation.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ General Manager (GM) of Public Relations Department ABM Rawshan Kabir said, “A call was received from an unknown number informing that there was a bomb on the flight. At that time, the plane was preparing to take off. Giving the safety of the passengers the highest priority, everyone was immediately taken off the plane.”
He added that the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) is taking the matter seriously and law enforcement agencies are conducting necessary searches.
