Bomb scare on plane was fake

The Dhaka-Kathmandu route flight BG-373 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines was suspended at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport due to security concerns. 

The flight was scheduled to depart Dhaka at 4:45 pm on Friday (July 11). 

It is learned that before the flight took off, a call was received from an unknown number informing that there was a bomb on the plane. 

After that, the airport's security system was put on high alert. 

For security reasons, all passengers on the flight were immediately taken off. 

The airport's bomb disposal unit began a search. After the search, the airline authorities confirmed that the bomb scare on the flight was just a rumor. There is nothing to panic about. 

Biman Bangladesh Airlines' General Manager (GM) of Public Relations Department ABM Rawshan Kabir said, “No bomb or anything suspicious was found on the Kathmandu-bound flight. It was a fake call. Passengers are being re-boarded. The flight will leave for Kathmandu once the process is completed.”
