‘Name NBR will no longer exist as people have negative notion to it’

Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan said that people have a negative perception to the name NBR and therefore, this name will no longer exist.

He further stated, “The two divisions named ‘Revenue Policy’ and ‘Revenue Implementation’, have been created and they will remain as they are now. There will be two secretaries for the two divisions.”

The adviser said these while talking to reporters at his secretariat office on Sunday (July 13) morning.

Fouzul Kabir Khan said, “There are some problems in the ordinance issued regarding NBR reform. There were also some errors in word formation. The advisory committee will recommend amendments to these.”
