Nationwide combing operation announced to catch criminals

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said the government will launch a nationwide coordinated combing operation from today to arrest the criminals.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters after a meeting on the country’s law and order situation at the secretariat on Sunday (July 13).

He said, in light of the prevailing law and order situation in the country, the government will launch a nationwide coordinated combing operation to arrest the identified criminals and terrorists.

Law enforcement agencies are conducting regular operations against all types of criminal activities, including murder, theft, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, terrorism, violence against women, mob violence, and drug smuggling. The cooperation of everyone, including the general public, is absolutely necessary in this regard.

Law adviser Asif Nazrul and top officials of several ministries attended the meeting.
