July memorials to be built in 64 districts: Cultural Adviser

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostafa Sarwar Farooki said that memorials will be built in 64 districts of the country to preserve the memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising.

The adviser made the announcement while addressing a press conference on Monday (July 14).

He said the initiative to build this memorial has been taken to showcase the sacrifice of the July martyrs to the new generation. The construction work has started from Narayanganj and will be completed in all districts by August 4.

The adviser also said that construction work is starting today.

In the press conference, Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid said that the ministry took steps to prepare a complete list of female fighters in July.
