Satisfied with verdict on caretaker system: Badiul Alam

Citizens for Good Governance (SUJON) editor and member of the National Consensus Commission Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder has said, “We are satisfied with the court's verdict on the caretaker government.”
He said, “This verdict is an initial victory for democracy. Although there are some issues in the verdict. We will appeal on that issue this month. We hope we will get a final solution.”
He made the remark held at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Tuesday (July 15) afternoon.
Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder is the writ petitioner in the case.
Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan, the lawyer in the case, was also present.
Badiul Alam Majumder said, “The 15th Amendment was not valid. Sheikh Hasina brought the 15th Amendment to the Constitution to essentially perpetuate her power illegally. Where no one's opinion was taken into account”, he said.
