There was no intelligence report of major attack in Gopalganj: Home Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said there was no intelligence report of major attack in Gopalganj centering the rally of National Citizens’ Party (NCP) in Gopalganj.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters at his secretariate office on Thursday (July 17).

Those who committed the crime in Gopalganj will be arrested, he said.

In reply to another question, he said, "Instructions have been given there to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future."

Earlier on Wednesday (July 16), four people were killed in clashes, following the attacks on a rally of National Citizen Party (NCP).
