Air aircraft crashes in Uttara, one dead

A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed in the capital's Uttara area this afternoon, leaving one person dead.
Fire Service control room officer Lima Khan confirmed the matter.
She said that on information, eight fire units from Uttara, Tongi, Pallabi, Kurmitola, Mirpur, Purbachal fire stations rushed to the spot, and the rescue operation is underway.
The training aircraft, F-7 BGI, crashed in Uttara after taking off at about 1:06 pm, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said in a statement.
So far, more than 30 injured people have been admitted to various hospitals in Uttara and the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital after the incident.
