Education Ministry secretary withdrawn

The government has removed Education Ministry Senior Secretary Siddiq Jubayer from his current post following the student protest at Uttara.

Mahfuj Alam, adviser to the interim government for information and broadcasting, confirmed the matter in a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon (July 22).

The government took the step as a group of students protested in front of the Bangladesh Secretariat, demanding the resignation of Education Adviser CR Abrar, justice for the deaths in the Milestone College plane crash, and various educational reforms.
