DNA tests confirm identities of 5 victims

The Forensic DNA Lab of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has ascertained identities of five more persons killed in Monday's air force fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College at Uttara in the capital. 

CID head office’s media cell confirmed this to media on Thursday.

The five children are: Okia Ferdous Nidhi, daughter of Faruk Hossain and Salma Akter, Lamia Akhter Samia, daughter of Md Babul and Majeda, Afsan Akter Priya, daughter of Md Abbas Uddin and Minu Akhter, Raisa Moni, daughter of Md Shahabul Sheikh and Mim, and Marium alias Afia, daughter of Abdul Kadir and Umme Tamima Akter. 

The CID collected 11 DNA samples and confirmed identities of five female children. 

DNA sample testing was carried out to hand over the bodies to their families.
