Snatching: 4 policemen of Mohammadpur thana suspended 

Four policemen have been suspended (closed) due to their negligence during the snatching of the mobile phone and wallet of a journalist named Ahmad Wadud, just 3 minutes' walk from Mohammadpur Police Station in the capital.

 Among them are a SI, an ASI and 2 constables. On Friday (July 25) afternoon, Deputy Police Commissioner of Tejgaon Division of DMP Md. Ibne Mizan informed the media about the matter.

He said that the police have already recovered the mobile phone in the raid.

The accused have also been arrested in the incident.

On Thursday (July 24) night, just 3 minutes’ walk from Mohammadpur Police Station, the muggers attacked journalist named Ahmad Wadud with a machete and took away his wallet and mobile phone.

Later, within five minutes, he went to Mohammadpur Police Station and informed the police officers on duty. But Ahmad Wadud claimed that the police officers had neglected their duties.
