Rashida Khatun receives ‘Kali O Kolom Award’

The prestigious ‘Kali O Kolom Award’ sponsored by Citi Bank Ltd for the year 2024 has been announced.

Rashida Khatun Swarolipi got the award for her book titled the ‘Sagai Fort Escape’ while Austrik Rishsi, Muhammad Farid Hasan, Sajid Ul Haque and Niaz Mahmud were also awarded.

The wards were handed over at a program at Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday (July 26).

The event was presided over by Emeritus Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, President of the Editorial Board of Kali O Kolom. 

The event was graced by eminent educationist and essayist Emeritus Professor Sirajul Islam Chowdhury as the chief guest.
Rashida Khatun Swarolipi is now working in the feature section of the popular online news portal risingbd.com.

Earlier, Executive Editor of risingbd.com Taposh Roy got the award for his  book 'Ei Besh Atonke Asi' in 2017.
