Six-storey building tilts in Demra

A six-storey residential building has tilted sideways in Hazinagar area of Demra in the capital.

The tilting was reported on Sunday (July 27). The cause remains unclear. Residents have been safely evacuated.

Fire service headquarters Duty Officer Rashid Bin Khalid said electricity, gas and water connections from the building were disconnected.

Demra police, fire service, and RAZUK officials visited the tilted building and took necessary steps.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Executive Engineer Md Khalilur Rahman said we are taking precautionary measures before any untoward incident occurs.
