N`ganj RAB boss vows to return its image

District Correspondent, NARAYANGANJ, May 9: The newly appointed Commanding Officer (CO) of RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) -11 in the district Lt. Col. Anwar Latif Khan vowed to reinstate images of the battalion in Narayanganj. He told this on Friday.

“And it is my first duty to revise the RAB’s images that have been damaged in the recent incidents of seven murders and other killings and abductions in Narayanganj,” the RAB CO added.

Earlier on Thursday, Lt. Col. Anwar Latif Khan has been appointed as Commanding Officer (CO) of RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) -11.

RAB headquarters issued a notice in this regard on Friday morning.

Prior to this appointment, he was the CO of RAB-5.

Lt Col Latif Khan has been replaced Lt Col Tareq Sayeed Mohammad as he was dismissed along with two other officers for their alleged involvement in the abduction and killing of seven people including Narayanganj City panel mayor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker.
