18 RAB officials withdrawn from RAB-3

Following an allegation of money embezzlement against Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) men, the RAB headquarter has withdrawn 18 of its officials from RAB-3.

 

RAB`s legal and media wing director Wing Commander ATM Habibur Rahman confirmed the RAB withdrawal.

 

The RAB sources said that a group RAB man from RAB-3 had held four people from Cumilla along with Tk.1.5 lakh on Friday.

 

“But the RAB men have shown the authorities concerned the seized amount was as only Tk. 6o thousand,” the RAB sources added.

 

The rest amount of money as Tk. 90 thousand was said to have embezzled by RAB men.
