Staff Correspondent: Ayesha Faiz, mother of author and filmmaker late Humayun Ahmed and educationist Prof. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal has died.
She died in capital’s Lab Aid Hospital on Saturday morning due to old age complications.
She was 84 years.
Cartoonist Ahsan Habib, the youngest son of Ayesha Foyez, confirmed the news.
Ayesha Fayez was admitted to the hospital on September 12 after she had fallen ill. Later, she was taken to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as her health condition deteriorated.
Ayesha Foyez was born on March 23 in 1930 in his grandfather’s house at Koilati village of Barhatta. Her father was the late Sheikh Abul Hossain and mother Khairun Nesa. She married to Foizur Rahman who died during the War of Liberation on February 8 in 1944.
