New BCS preliminary syllabus published

Staff Correspondent: The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Tuesday published the new syllabus for the BCS Preliminary examination.
The BPSC published the syllabus on its website ahead of the upcoming 35th BCS examination.
According to the new syllabus, the candidates passing the preliminary examination must sit for 900-mark written tests on six subjects such as Bangla (200), English (200), Bangladesh affairs (200), international affairs (100), mathematics and psychological capabilities (100) and general science and technology (100).
Under the new rules, the marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the BCS preliminary examination were increased to 200 from 100 and the duration from one hour to two.
In the new syllabus, the marks distribution would be-35 for Bengali Language and Literature, 35 for English Language and Literature, 30 for Bangladesh Affairs while 20 marks for International Affairs.
On the other hand the marks for- Geography is 10, Environment and Disaster Management 10, General Science 15, Computer and information 15, Mathematical logic 15, Mental Ability 15, Ethics and evaluation is 10 marks.
