Staff Correspondent: The physical condition of convicted war criminal and Jamaat-e-Islami`s former Ameer Ghulam Azam deteriorated more as he was not able to talk or move his limbs.
Disclosing the information on Thursday evening, Brigadier General (sacked) Abdullahil Aman Azmi, eldest son of professor Ghulam Azam, told risingbd.com that his father became very weak.
He also said that the former Jamaat Ameer was shifted to CCU (Coronary care unit) around 3.00pm from the prison cell of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital.
Last year the International Crimes Tribunal gave the 90-year-old Ghulam Azam prison until death for crimes against humanity in the Liberation War of 1971.
The verdict said although his crimes were worthy of a death sentence, he was given jail considering his age.
