1 killed, 10 hurt in city mosque’s water-tank collapse

Staff Correspondent: A man was killed and ten others were injured when the water tank of a mosque collapsed on a laundry shop at Fakirapool in the city on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The deceased was identified as Salam, 39, a washerman of the laundry.
 
Sources at the Fire Service Central Control Room said the water tank on the rooftop of Fakirapool Bazar Mosque fell on the tin-roofed laundry shop by the mosque around 5:15pm, leaving at least 11 people injured.
 
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared one of them brought dead, said Inspector Nilufar Yesmin at the Fire Service Control room.
