Maj Gen (retd) Amin Ahmed Chy dead

Military analyst and freedom-fighter Major General (Retd) Amin Ahmed Chowdhury Bir Bikram died on Friday night.

He breathed his last at United Hospital around 11:40pm. He was 68.

Chowdhury was a leader of the Sector Commanders` Forum. He served as ambassador in different countries of the world. He also served as chairman of Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust.

Family Sources said he was taken to United Hospital after he felt pain in chest on Friday night where duty doctor declared him dead.

The body of the freedom fighter has been kept at mortuary of the hospital.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Asr prayers and later will be laid to rest at Banani Graveyard with full military honour.
