House of PM’s cousins attacked

Khulna Correspondent: The home of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s paternal cousins, MP Sheikh Helal Uddin and Sheikh Soheil in Khulna, was attacked on Wednesday night.

Sonadanga Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Maruf Ahmed said a group of miscreants fired 5 rounds of bullets towards the house in Khulna city’s Sher-e-Bangla Road around 11pm on Wednesday.

Four bullet marks were seen on the front gate and a wall while police recovered the other bullet.

However, no one was hurt in the firing.

During the shooting, Sheikh Soheil, a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), was outside the home inspecting the decoration of the city ahead of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
