Ghulam Azam’s son throws challenge to BNP

Abdullahil Aman Azmi

Staff Correspondent: Brigadier General (retd) Abdullahil Aman Azmi, son of Jammat-e-Islami founder ameer Ghulam Azam who died recently in prison cell, has thrown a challenge to the BNP over its silence policy regarding the war crimes cases’ verdicts against Jamaat leaders.

In a status on his facebook wall Azmi writes, BNP never be able to from a government without the support of Jamaat. While the whole world along side the nation mourning then the BNP keeps silent.

He posted the status regarding a news item published in an online news portal headlined as ‘BNP boycotts Ghulam Azam’s Namaz-e-Janaza on Tareque’s advice’.

Abdullahil Aman Azmi’s facebook status as follow:

The whole nation is disappointed at BNP`s silence after Prof Ghulam Azam expired although the entire world is mourning. I`m not sure why!!

I have NO hesitation in saying that BNP could never form govt without Jamaat`s support. Sadly enough, their silence on the death of the founder Ameer of the party, and spiritual Guru till his death, is utterly unexpected and unacceptable!

BNP will do better if they remember that they can NEVER go to power again without Jamaat`s support. This is my `open challenge`.
