Shaheed Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon
Staff Correspondent: The 24th death anniversary of Shaheed Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon is being observed today (Thursday).
On this day in 1990, Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon, the then joint secretary of Bangladesh Medical Association, was shot dead by the armed cadres of the erstwhile autocratic regime near Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University during an anti-autocratic movement.
Different organisations including Awami League and BNP have taken various programs to observe the day.
President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia issued separate messages paying their rich tributes to the memory of Shaheed Milon.
