Koko’s 2nd janaza at Baitul Mukarram

Staff Correspondent: The second namaj-e-janaza of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s late son Arafat Rahman Koko, is set to be held in front of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital instead of pre-scheduled Nayapaltan party headquarter on Tuesday.

 

The BNP Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed came up with the clarification while addressing journalists in the capital, on Monday.

 

Earlier, on Sunday, BNP chairperson`s media wing officer Shayrul Kabir Khan told isingbd.com that the second namaj-e-janaza of Arafat Rahman Koko will be held in front of the party headquarters, at Nayapaltan.

 

The namaj-e-janaza is scheduled to be held after Asr prayers on the day, says Shayrul Kabir.

 

The death body of Arafat Rahman Koko will be brought back to the country on Tuesday.

 

Malaysia unit President of BNP Mohammad Shahidullah confirmed earlier on Sunday.

 

Meanwhile, the first namaj-e-janaza of Arafat Rahman Koko was held at the National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara) on Sunday this noon.

 

The namaj-e-janaza was held at 1.30pm, Malaysian time (11.30am, Bangladesh time).

 

Huge number of Bangladeshi expatriates participated in the janaza.

 

Shameem Iskander, younger brother of the BNP chief, along with two others, has reached Malaysia to bring back the body of Arafat Rahman Koko who died of heart attack there on Saturday noon.
