CAG office is a place of bribery & corruption: TIB

Staff Correspondent: Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) reported that the auditors of the office of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) seriously involved in bribery and corruption.

The staffs of the office take at least Tk. 10,000 to Tk. 5 lakh as bribes while conducting audit, transfer, recruiting.

Candidates pay between Tk. 3 lakh and Tk. 5 lakh to get a job of drivers, junior auditors and auditors at the office.

TIB Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman disclosed the findings in a press conference at Dhanmondi in city on Thursday.
