No politics with my husband: Salahuddin`s wife

Staff Correspondent: Urging to politicians in the country, Hasina Ahmed, the wife of BNP’s Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed, on Saturday said, "Do not practice politics with disappearing my husband."

Hasina Ahmed made the comment while addressing a press conference at the Supreme Court (SC), in the capital, this noon.

Hasina also said, "Bring him under trial if he does anything wrong to the eye of law but do not disappear him."

"You have no right to abduct my husband," Hasina told the journalists, pointing to the politicians.

Earlier, Hasina told media that law enforcement agency members on Tuesday night detained the BNP’s Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed.

He was picked up by some plainclothesmen on the night from a house in Dhaka, says Hasina.

But law enforcers, however, had denied his picking up till now.

Salahuddin Ahmed has been delivering his party statements as the spokesperson of the party for more than a month after the arrest of Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, another senior leader of the party.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, however, claimed in this regard that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has sent her leader Salah Uddin Ahmed to underground.
