2 magistrates meet Kamaruzzaman

Staff Correspondent: Two magistrates have meet death row convict Muhammad Kamaruzzaman at the Dhaka Central Jail to know his decision on presidential clemency.

Two magistrates Tanvir Ahmed and Mahmud Jamil entered the jail around 9.50am. They got out at 11:36am but did not talk to journalists.

Earlier on Thursday, a five-member defence lawyers led by Shishir Manir met the Jamaat leader. Shishir Manir told journalists that Muhammad Kamaruzzaman would inform his decision about seeking presidential clemency to the authorities concerned in time.  

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal also said on Thursday, "The death row war crimes convict Muhammad Kamaruzzaman must take a decision within 24 hours whether he will seek presidential clemency".
