Rail minister flies to Singapore for checkup

Staff Correspondent: Railways Minister Mujibul Haque on Tuesday went to Singapore in a five-day tour for medical checkup.
The minister, his wife Honufa Akhter Rikta and his personal secretary AKMG Kibria Majumde left Dhaka from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 8.45am.
Earlier on July 16, the minister fell sick in his hometown Comilla. He was immediately admitted to a local clinic, `Moon Hospital`, and then moved to the Dhaka CMH next day.
Mujibul Haque who got married just last year at the age of 68 suffered internal bleeding due to the gastrological problems.
The minister was taken to Singapore for better treatment on July 18. He returned home on August 4 after 13-day treatment at Singapore General Hospital under Dr Christopher Khor Jen Lock.
The doctor advised him to get back to the hospital after a month for checkup for which the minister flew to Singapore.
