SQ Chy’s son Hummam arrested, sent to jail

Staff Correspondent: Police have arrested Hummam Quader Chowdhury, son of death row war crimes convict Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury in connection with a case filed in 2008.

A team of Dhanmondi Police Station arrested Hummam from their Dhanmodi residence on Saturday morning in connection with an attempt to murder case filed with Gulshan Police Station.

Later in afternoon, Metropolitan Magistrate Meher Nigar Suchana ordered to send Hummam Quader Chowdhury to jail after Dhanmondi Police produced him before the CMM court.
 
The court, however, fixed Sunday to hear his bail petition.
