Recommendation to punish 7 police officers in Ctg

Staff Correspondent: Seven police officers including Chitttagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner are likely to get punishment for harassing a renowned industrialist.

A probe body formed by Police Headquarters found allegation against them, and it has also recommended to punish the police officers.  The probe body was formed with the direction of IGP AKM Shahidul Huq.
 

The accused are SI Sujan Biswas, SI Ekramul Haque, OC Prodip Kumar Das, Assistant police Commissioner Dipok Joti Kisa, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Shariful Islam, Deputy Commissioner Paritosh Gosh and CMP Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondal.

The probe boy has recommended to temporary fire and take departmental punishment against SI Sujan Biswas, SI Ekramul Haque and OC Prodip Kumar Das for their direct involvement in the harassment case. Other police officers will get departmental punishment for the negligence of their duties.
