Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court is scheduled today to deliver its verdict in a case filed against Oishee Rahman for killing her parents – Mahfuzur Rahman, an inspector of police’s special branch, and Swapna Rahman – in 2013.
Judge Sayed Ahmed of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 on November 4 fixed the day for handing down the verdict.
On August 14, 2013, Inspector of Special Branch of Police Mahfuzur and his wife Shapna Begum were stabbed to death at their rented flat in Chamelibagh, Malibagh.
Police recovered their bodies two days after the crime on August 16. The same day schoolgirl Oishee with housemaid Sumi surrendered at the Paltan police station.
