Tk 450 cr of Titas Gas bill disappeared!

M A Rahman: Though clients pay their gas bill regularly through bank account concerned, around Tk 450 crore has reportedly been disappeared from the revenue of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.

 

The estimated money has been misappropriated by several dishonest officials of the company.

 

Sources said some corrupt officials of Titas provided many more gas connections in different areas taking bribes. The clients regularly pay their bills to the Titas accounts, but it was not added to the company`s revenue sector as the connections are illegal.

 

However, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) decided to investigate the matter. For this the watch-dog commission appointed investigation officer as well in 2015.
