Writ filed to arrest Atiur Rahman

Staff Correspondent: A Supreme Court lawyer has filed a writ petition to the High Court (HC) seeking directives to arrest the resigned Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman over the cyber heist.

 

Lawyer Younus Ali Akanda filed the writ to the division concerned on Wednesday noon.

 

Despite directives of the arrest of Dr. Atiur Rahman, direction of forming a judicial probe committee was sought to inquire into the money heist from the account of BB`s New York Federal Reserve Bank.
