Staff Correspondent: Bangladeshi Muslims will observe Shab-e-Barat on the night of May 22.
The National Moon-Sighting Committee made the announcement as the Shaban moon was not sighted on Saturday.
The day is a public holiday.
On that night Muslim devotees will offer special prayers, recite from the holy Quran, hold milad, zikr and perform other religious rituals throughout the night, seeking divine blessings for the wellbeing of mankind.
