Ctg police mourn murder of SP`s wife

Staff Correspondent: The people of port city are mourning with the police men over the shocking murder of police super Babul Akter`s wife Mahfuza Khanam Mitu Akter on Sunday.

Superintendent of Police and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Babul Akter was schedule to join Dhaka police headquarters on Sunday morning but, after the murdering incident of his wife he rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital by a helicopter around 11:00am.

A heartbreaking situation was seen when the police officer reached in the hospital. Nobody could stop their tears seeing the screams of SP Babul Akter in the area.

All the additional commissioners, deputy commissioner and officer-in-charges of several police stations in Chittagong attended in the hospital.

Bayezid Bostami police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mohsin told risingbd.com, "We are speechless. We have to words to consol the sir. The brutal murdering is intolerable."

Earlier in the day, SP Babul Akter’s wife has been shot dead by unidentified miscreants. The incident took place in front of Well Food office in GEC crossing area in the port city.

Miscreants, riding on a motorbike, shot Mahfuza Khanam Mitu Akter, 32, around 7:00am while she was returning home on foot.
