Hassan Mahmud: Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) fails to meet demands of consumers due to budget constraint and adequate supply at the very beginning of the fasting month Ramadan in 179 open trucks across the country.
The state-run organisation is selling five types of essentials at fare prices to stabilize the prices. But allocation has already been reduced for every truck just two weeks it was started.
Meanwhile date selling has been stopped in different parts in the capital and Barisal as stock was ended.
The dealers outside of Dhaka alleged that they were not getting commodities as they have demands.
TCB officials demand that dishonest dealers sell essentials in black market if they get more alloctation. But dealers claimed the crisis was not be created if TCB stocked more before Ramadan.
